WORKSHOPS
Presenting Ken and Stephanie Goldman Artists Workshop
The Salem County Art League was honored to sponsor a Fine Arts Workshop headed by the Goldmans September 19-21st. Ken and Stephanie are both renowned artists and have exhibited worldwide. Ken has written many books which can be purchased on Amazon and other platforms. Ken has extensive experience in ornithology and stresses the anatomical aspects of his subjects…bird or human. The workshop, held for three days, allowed the participants to work on items of their choosing. On the first day, Ken worked with the basics of drawing with charcoal and pencil and the transfer of those images to canvas or watercolor paper. He demonstrated the importance of composition, shading, and negative and positive space with several demos. The participants worked in pastels, acrylics, pencil, and watercolor. Stephanie and Ken were both hands-on in helping the individuals render their ideas to paper. The sessions were recorded for further study after the workshop. The workshop was supported in part by 2024 grant monies from the Salem County Cultural Heritage Commission.
While not teaching they stayed at Chapter One Farms and became reacquainted with horses followed by a visit to the Cowtown
Rodeo…a first for them!
It was an honor to host the Goldmans and to gain knowledge from their vast experience and artistry. See more at
We thank all who participated and helped make this a successful event for all levels of artists.
